Ella Waters

  • Candidate for Bragg

Biography

Ella Waters offers a vibrant and enthusiastic alternative vision for Adelaide’s eastern suburbs and foothills communities.

Ella is a passionate resident of the local area. Currently living in Dulwich and having studied at Marryatville High School, Ella is proud to be standing as Labor’s candidate for Bragg in support of a generous and inclusive community.

Ella studied international relations and philosophy at the University of Adelaide and has worked in both the public and private sectors. This has helped her to understand the way government can work to effectively support our society and protect the way of life we cherish.

Ella understands that if South Australia is to continue to grow, there needs to be ongoing investment in quality local infrastructure projects, which Labor will continue to deliver. She is committed to pursuing a smart, user-focused transport system which will keep Adelaide as one of the most liveable places in the world.

In order to continue building a better South Australia, Ella knows that economic development must be matched by social development and community inclusion. Through volunteering with Welcome to Australia, a not-for-profit organisation offering a warm, positive and dignified welcome to new Australians, refugees and other new arrivals, Ella is helping to build a stronger community.

In her spare time Ella is an avid footy fan, supporting the Redlegs and playing for the Payneham Norwood Union Football Club. Having worked at the Adelaide Festival Centre, Ella has developed a keen interest in the arts and enjoys supporting local performance and visual art events. Labor’s vibrant city agenda and plans for redevelopment of the Festival Centre’s Plaza will continue to foster positive growth in this area.

Ella firmly believes that Bragg voters deserve a local Member of Parliament who is willing to take up the challenge and represent everyone in the community. As an effective voice in Parliament, Ella would work to ensure Bragg becomes an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
