- Candidate for Goyder
Elyse Ramsay knows the difference it can make having a strong Labor voice representing the people of Goyder in State Parliament. She has a vision to deliver quality services to drive the prosperity of the communities that make up the electorate.
Elyse understands the challenges that rural communities face today, especially on the Yorke Peninsula. Born in the Yorketown Hospital and living in the small rural town of Warooka, Elyse has fond memories growing up as a generational farmer's daughter.
Access to education is critical for families in rural communities. Elyse completed all of her primary and secondary education locally at Warooka Primary School, Southern Yorke Peninsula Christian College and Yorketown Area School.
Seeking opportunities to further her education, Elyse started a double degree of Law and Media at the University of Adelaide. Elyse looks forward to being able to use these qualifications to represent the people of Goyder.
Elyse sees improving rural health care services, especially mental health, as a key area where Labor can make a difference in Goyder. She wants to strengthen the area's vibrant tourism industry whilst maintaining the integrity and prosperity of the agriculture and aquaculture industries.
