Stephen is a local - he lives in Largs Bay, where his father and his family are from. He spent much of his childhood at Alberton Oval watching the Magpies, at the beach at Largs, or fishing off North Haven. When it came time to buy his home, he only wanted to live in Largs.
He started work as a storeman in a warehouse while completing his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Adelaide. He has worked at senior levels of Government, and led Deloitte's Economics team in Adelaide until earlier this year, when he was pre-selected as Labor's candidate for the seat of Lee. He currently works for the Premier, Jay Weatherill.
The youngest of five boys, family is important to Stephen. Recently married, he and his wife Antonia look forward to raising their family at Largs. He is a keen cricketer, one-eyed Magpies and Power supporter, and will work hard to support and represent his community in Parliament.
