Cressida O’Hanlon is the Labor Member for Dunstan in the South Australian House of Assembly.
She was elected in 2024, making history as the first government-backed candidate in over 116 years to win a seat from the opposition in a South Australian by-election.
A proud local and long-time resident of Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, Cressida is passionate about protecting local heritage, building a more connected community, and improving local services. Before entering politics, she founded and ran a family dispute resolution and corporate mediation business and has a strong background in community advocacy.
Cressida has worked closely with the Malinauskas Government to deliver key improvements for Dunstan, including securing a new 24/7 pharmacy on The Parade, the Norwood Ambulance Station, and helping progress the redevelopment of the Dunstan Adventure Playground.
Cressida is actively involved in her community, regularly volunteering with organisations such as Meals on Wheels, Nonna’s Cucina, and the Altavilla Irpina Sports and Social Club.
She lives in Norwood with her husband James, a 25-year Australian Army veteran, and their children, who attend local schools.
