I’ve stepped up to be the Labor Candidate for Mayo because as a healthcare worker I feel I have a duty and responsibility to do so.
I want to help restore hope in a community that is in despair about their health system, their mental health and wellbeing, the economy, the environment. A community in despair about the future of their children’s job and education opportunities. A community in in fear of what the next fire season will bring.
I want to use my knowledge, experience in health and education, my experience in representation, advocacy to help make a difference in addressing the needs of community. To help improve health outcomes, to ensure fairness and equal access to health and education.
I want to be part of a team that truly cares about their community and what matters to them. A team that will listen and genuinely consult.
I want to be part of a leadership team that I know will take real action on climate change. A team that I know will listen to the experts.
As a health professional I truly understand what it means to be responsible and accountable for those in my direct and indirect care.
I want to be a part of a team that have a track record on working with all members of our community, welfare groups, all businesses, farmers and all employer and employee stake holders.
Only Labor will restore funding to a health system in crisis, a struggling education system, restore funding to the ABC and uphold the values of justice fairness and democracy.
